Baakens Valley, Gqeberha

A workshop for sculpture.

The Sculpture Studio is a South African arts production and fabrication company in the Baakens Valley Precinct, Gqeberha. Founded in 2019, the studio makes large and small sculptural works, bespoke interior and exterior pieces, public sculpture, and work for corporate spaces and homes. Production spans bronze casting, design, digital fabrication, and object making.

It is more than a production floor. The studio is a collaborative workspace for artists, sculptors, designers, and makers rooted in the Eastern Cape, working toward a wider creative market.

The founders each hold a master’s degree in fine art sculpture, with more than twenty years between them in arts education in Nelson Mandela Bay. The Baakens Valley studio is where that practice meets fabrication: workshops, demonstrations, and the transfer of skill.
